I really wanted to watch this movie, I, because why should I didn cared absolutely no Matt Damon It's not playing a Chinese character If you want to use the white savior argument you can, but why Damon is not the only savior, it just helps I wanted to see this movie because he had the bad air, it looked like a generic action movie science fiction, dull, but I was pleasantly surprised.
The film certainly wasn t great, but it was an absolute blast Sometimes it is generic standard actioner, especially at the end, but the rest of the action was a lot of fun While the rest are all fun, the first part game on the wall is the one I want to talk, because, oh my god, it's amazing that I have not had fun in a cinema for a long time with the rest of cinema I exclaimed when things are past and moving around my seat as you do sometimes when playing a racing game, I think that the film which is worth only the film manages to hire you because of his palette amazing colors, which really shows in some action scenes that you have every type of hunting in different colors, with lots of colorful weapons, and it is simply the film so much fun, which is all the movie wants to be.
In his last films, I learned that Zhang Yimou is a great director action it merges great film and great choreography, and makes each action sequence in a beautiful sequence of pushes and pulls, almost like a dance as much as I wanted it to be and that Hero, it wasn t, but he always managed to create something really good, with some incredible work sequences, which is often the case with films Action like this.
The performance also without always consistent, always entertaining Damon did everything he's said, and for some unknown reason to change his focus a chance he gets Pedro Pascal, was good in his role, but Willem Dafoe is totally lost and useless here, it doesn t really do much all the real standout here Tain Jing teal Lin Mae movie it plays its role perfectly, and manages to outdo everyone else in the film I'm incredibly grateful that the film it is the true lead.
And now, to deal with the controversy This film is not racist, nor is it whitening Matt Damon is not playing a Chinese character, it is not take away from a Chinese actor role, it that is to act as the Wests window in the film course, it was not necessary, but I understand why they did here Matt Damon did not play the white savior, it is mostly a bystander and help as I just mentioned, Tian Jing plays the real hero of the story, the film is about her character, what it does, and how it can save the day All Damon is to observe this film on how we can work together, how everything doesn t need to be quite a race.
Honestly, I had an absolute blast with this film, its highlights some of the most fun I've had in a cinema, and at the lower of its just good I think art well enough I s 'really hope this movie does a good next once he gets out of the house as a flight tomorrow, he really deserves it, and while it wasn t perfect, more movies should start to follow traces of this style of film.
